Movie Release Date Questionable

An Australian DVD Web site has listed the release date and has posted the DVD cover art for the eighth Pokémon movie, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. The movie will be released on PAL Region 4 DVD August 16, 2006. Hopefully information on a North American release date will be announced soon.


Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (Japanese: ミュウと波導の勇者　ルカリオ Mew to Hadō no Yūsha Lucario) is the third Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation movie, and 8th of all Pokémon movies. Premiering in Japan on July 16, 2005, it introduced four new Generation IV Pokémon, Lucario, Bonsly, Manene and Manyula. As indicated by the title, Mew plays a large part, supplementing its appearance in Mewtwo Strikes Back. Other than Lucario whose role is most significant, Regice, Regirock and Registeel are three more main Pokémon characters.

Lucario's trainer, Aaron, was Lucario's friend, though Lucario saw himself as Aaron's servant. When Aaron was about to save the the Tree of the world's beggining, he trapped Lucario in his rod.
