Pokémon USA, Inc., a worldwide leader in trading card games, today announced the Pokémon® Trading Card Game (TCG) Gym Challenges. Gym Challenges provide players the opportunity to qualify for an invitation to the Pokémon TCG World Championships(tm) in Anaheim, Calif., August 18-20. Pokémon TCG tournaments and leagues test a player's Pokémon TCG skill, strategy and creativity.

Pokémon TCG Gym Challenges are held from May 20 through June 11, and are open to all eligible players. Competitors are divided into three age categories: 10 and younger, 11 to 14, and 15 and older. The grand prize, an exclusive invitation and travel award to the Pokémon TCG World Championships, is limited to first place winners in each age category. Prizes are awarded to the top eight players in each age category and include Pokémon TCG expansion booster packs and a Gym Challenge promo card. The Pokémon TCG World Championships is an invite only event, and players must participate in a qualifying tournament to receive an invitation.
