Pokémon Episode Dispensers
Anime and Nintendo DS. Isn't that a killer combination? The guys over at AM3 corp have decided it is and is set to cash in on this new craze. Very soon stores all over the Japan will have a transmission terminal developed by AM3.
The terminal allows anime fans to get the latest episode of Pokémon and other anime classic on a Smart Media card. Using the memory adapter the Smart Media Card can be used with a majority of Nintendo portable consoles like Game Boy Advance (GBA), GBA Special Edition, Game Boy Micro, Nintendo DS and DS Lite. Shop owners can add fresh content themselves by connecting the terminal to the PC and replacing existing clips with new ones.
Episodes of Pokémon TV series are available for 300 Yen ($ 2.5) each.
All you have to do is select the movie to download and enter your memory card to get the episode. Others have not been announced yet, but are coming soon.
This was reported on here a while back, but now it seems they've started to get them into production and they should be showing up in stores all over Japan shortly. No word if anything like this is headed for the USA or UK.
